On the 8th of May, 2023, a group of students from the Packaging Technology department of BHT University embarked on an excursion to the Interpack Packaging Exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Interpack is one of the biggest exhibitions for the packaging industry worldwide, and it is held once every three years. The objective of the excursion was to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and technologies in the packaging industry.
Transportation and Arrival:
The students and their lecturer boarded a bus at early morning at 5 am and arrived at the exhibition venue around 12:00 am. The journey was smooth and uneventful, and the students were all excited about the trip.
Exhibition Experience:
The students were welcomed by six companies from VDMA how supported us with free tickets to the exhibition. The rest of the time they explored the exhibition at their own pace. The exhibition was enormous, with over 3,000 exhibitors from around the world showcasing their latest packaging solutions.
The students had the opportunity to visit several booths and see various types of packaging solutions, including rigid, flexible, and paperboard packaging. They also saw different types of packaging equipment and machinery in action, including filling and sealing machines, label printers, and packaging robots.
Overall, the exhibition was an excellent opportunity for the students to gain practical experience and knowledge about the packaging industry. They were able to see the latest trends in sustainability and technologies in action, and they gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
Conclusion:
The Interpack Packaging Exhibition excursion was a valuable experience for the Packaging Technology students of BHT University.
